Signature Style
One of the most enjoyable events I had the opportunity to cover recently was Signature Style's Issue 23 Launch Party at Hamilton College. The student-created event celebrated the release of the latest issue of Signature Style, Hamilton's fashion publication, and brought together the many students who contributed their creativity, hard work, and vision to the project.
This year's theme was inspired by the early 2000s "Golden Era" of Disney Channel, bringing a wave of nostalgia to the evening. Guests embraced the theme with looks reminiscent of iconic characters and stars from the era, including Hilary Duff's unforgettable style in Lizzie McGuire and Miley Cyrus's dual-pop-star persona in Hannah Montana. The room was filled with vibrant fashion, playful energy, and a shared appreciation for a time that continues to influence trends today.
Copies of Signature Style Issue 23 were displayed throughout the venue, allowing attendees to flip through the publication and celebrate the final product together. It was inspiring to see the culmination of months of writing, photography, design, styling, and creative collaboration represented in a beautifully produced magazine. More importantly, it was an opportunity for contributors to gather, recognize one another's work, and celebrate their collective achievement.
As a multimedia producer, events like this are always exciting to document because they showcase not only fashion and style but also the passion, creativity, and community that make student-led projects so impactful. From candid conversations and group photos to details of the publication itself, the evening reflected the enthusiasm and dedication that went into bringing Issue 23 to life.
Congratulations to everyone involved in creating Signature Style Issue 23. It was a successful, stylish, and incredibly fun celebration of student creativity, and I was grateful to be there to document it.
